http://www.brittanysbasketsofhope Brittany’s Baskets of Hope is a non-profit organization that provides welcome baskets free of charge with resources and baby clothing/items to families with a new baby born with Down syndrome.   Click on their website to request a basket or  make a donation. Little Friends Center for Autism located in Naperville, IL.  I can’t say enough about Little Friends they are rock stars.  Comprehensive programs, trainings, support, and social groups. Special needs advocacy, coaching via phone, text and email. Celebrate Differences is located in Oswego, IL.  Offers support, monthly workshops, trainings, play groups, teen book club and a lot more. Great information on Childhood Apraxia and Speech, parenting and child development. NADS is the National Association for Down Syndrome and a wonderful support group in the Chicago area. Support group in Schaumburg, IL for families and children and adults with Down syndrome. Down syndrome Awareness Centers  all over the midwest and expanding to New York, NY and Mexico.  Provides play groups, fitness programs, signing and reading classes, workshops, parent support.

National Down Syndrome Congress This site is invaluable for parents who have a baby or child with Down syndrome.  There is some great information and useful tips and links and it is very positively focused. A jewelry company that has some beautiful hand made jewerly pieces.  Kelly Neville is a young lady who is in the same school district as Nick and is currently in the Steps Program that Nick will be attending next fall! Stylish clothing line designed to fit the unique body types for persons having Down syndrome. Easy to get on and off too! National Down Syndrome Society. has a ton of resources for special needs families.  One of my favorite sites! Great site for parents to share daily trials, triumphs, questions and recommendations This site stands for Talk About Curing Autism and has a ton of links and articles along with coffee groups. Hands on activities (crafts, fine moter, etc..) Offers scuba diving training for persons with disabilities. Provides customized travel experiences for individuals with disabilities.  Chicago Parent Magazine  Resources for caregivers of special needs families, with a very comprehensive list of help for a variety of needs and disabilities. Easter Seals offers programs, training and equipment for families  Autism (ASD) and Sleep
